Flourish Research was founded by Cheryl Anderson in 2018. At Flourish, we’re passionate about understanding what really makes people thrive and how we can help to make products, brands and experiences the best that they can be.

Cheryl is an experienced director-level qualitative researcher who brings her academic background in Psychology, Literature, Cultural Studies and Political and Social Science to really understand people’s stories: their needs, their hopes and beliefs, the context they live in and what really matters to them.

If she’s not moderating focus groups and in-depth interviews or facilitating workshops, she can regularly be found happily having a nose around in consumers’ kitchen cupboards or tagging along on a trip to the shops.

She combines creativity and positivity with sharp strategy and intellect to make a real difference to business needs such as creative development, NPD and innovation, brand positioning, customer journey exploration, consumer closeness and immersion, and bringing segmentations to life. She loves to apply innovative and creative approaches to research which lead to meaningful and actionable insights.

Cheryl is a member of the ICG, a Certified Member of the MRS and a Board Member of the Association for Qualitative Research. With a PhD in Social Change, she cares deeply about how we can help everyone to flourish and is particularly interested in mental health, economic inequality, nature and sustainability. As well as undertaking pro-bono projects, she has partnered with B1G1 to make Flourish an official Business for Good, through giving to a range of global projects that are all aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Every time you work with Flourish and Cheryl, you know that you are helping give someone the chance to really flourish.
